Goldfarb Rheumatology Certificate Program Currently On Hold

Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing, in partnership with the Division of Rheumatology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, received an Educating Nurses in Rheumatology with Certificate Initiative grant through Pfizer’s Independent Grants for Learning and Change program. Goldfarb will use the $160,000 to support the curriculum, all laboratory fees, student tuition including a generous stipend to support nurse practitioners as they attend the required experiences. As of December 9, 2020 Goldfarb's Rheumatology Certificate Progam is currently on hold.

“This is an excellent program for nurse practitioners to expand their education and add an enhanced rheumatologic specialty experience.”  Said Lisa Burnitt, DNP, RN, ANP-BC, Goldfarb assistant professor and Co-principal investigator for the grant.

Nurse practitioners interested in the program will complete 4.5 rheumatology focused credit hours in order to earn the certificate Clinicals are prearranged through the Division of Rheumatology at Washington University. The first 15-week program will begin in January 2021. The program is grant funded and is at no cost to student.
