By now, most of you have read the announcement regarding my decision to retire. Please know that I will continue to serve as your President until my successor is named.   By now, most of you have read the announcement regarding my decision to retire. Please know that I will continue to serve as your President until my successor is named.

While I am excited about entering this new phase in my life, this decision did not come easy. And as you might expect, this is very difficult for me to articulate.

What I can convey, with certainty, is that I cherish all of you and am so proud of what we’ve accomplished—together. Because of the great work of faculty, staff and students, Goldfarb has the highest level of accreditation and can focus on moving toward being a school of distinction.

Our accomplishments aren’t only about the tangible successes, like receiving the full re-accreditation from CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) and HLC (Higher Learning Commission) and being financially healthy—our accomplishments include the bonds we have developed over the years–it’s how we collaborate, it’s how we draw strength from each other during this very “unusual” time. Our accomplishments include our resiliency.

I plan to insure that we thrive and make a difference in the lives of those we touch. This is the essence of who we are as a College—as a community.

Saying thank you doesn’t seem sufficient enough to express my love and gratitude for Goldfarb. But I'll try. I am so very grateful to everyone for all your support, perseverance and commitment during my tenure at Goldfarb. I would like to thank Goldfarb’s strong leadership team for guiding the sometimes herculean efforts we faced. I would also like to thank Goldfarb’s Board of Trustees, who has always been supportive, engaged and committed to us moving toward being a school of distinction.

I am committed to staying as President until the successor is on board. I am dedicated to working on special projects after my tenure as President to enhance and support the road to distinction. You see, Goldfarb will always be a part of me, not only in heart and mind but also in action.

Goldfarb has exciting opportunities ahead. Our strategic plan charts a roadmap for the future direction on how Goldfarb achieves distinction. Each of you plays a pivotal role in our success and I look forward to supporting you in any way that I can.

We will continue to move forward – together! Together, we can change the world!

Sincerely,

 Nancy Ridenour, PhD, APRN, FAAN
