our mission & vision

The Path to Distinction

The Path to Distinction envisions Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing as a national academic leader in nursing education, community engagement and impact, and research and scholarship.

In 2023, faculty and staff will continue to pursue our purpose and promise to prepare our students to be exceptional nurse leaders who are aligned with our community and advocate for patients and families.

As we work towards realizing our goals outlined in our Path to Distinction, we will fuel the momentum we gained last year by continuing to focus on enhancing student support services and experiences, addressing the need for a psychologically safe environment for student learning, building career pathways, generating new knowledge for health care and nursing practices and educating our students to understand the social determinants of health.

Our students are what makes Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing a special place to learn and grow. Our students inspire our path.
