Fall Application Deadline: Jul. 31
Spring Application Deadline: Nov. 30
Overview
This program helps BSN prepared registered nurses build advanced skills for a career in school nursing. Students will learn to address the complex health needs within a school community. The program is offered in a hybrid format combining online coursework and in-person practicum hours with a preceptor chosen by the student and approved by the faculty. This program prepares nurses for the National Board for Certification of School Nurses.
The College’s school nurse program uses a cohort model with a minimum enrollment of 15 students to encourage collaboration and build strong professional connections. Students may apply for any academic term. Each cohort begins once the minimum enrollment requirement is met.
