Goldfarb Community President's Update

Few words can describe the devastation experienced by the violence that spanned all parts of our metro St. Louis area this weekend. Additionally, in Buffalo, New York, this past Saturday, we tragically lost ten human beings.  

I am deeply saddened and troubled by racially motivated acts of violence and recognize the effect this news has on our students—particularly our students of color. No one should have to live in fear that they will be violently targeted when conducting daily activities.

Happy Women’s History Month! The BJC Women’s Connection celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2021, with a special virtual program titled “Finding Peace and Finding Your Passion – a Conversation with Maxine Clark”.

Goldfarb Announces Recipients of BJC Bright Futures Scholarship

ST. LOUIS, MO - Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing is excited to announce the first recipients of the newly established BJC Bright Futures Scholarship.

“We had an overwhelming response with many well-deserving applicants,” said Stacy Bogier, director of enrollment management at Goldfarb. “These students are dedicated to their education and the field of nursing. We are honored to award these individuals with scholarships for all their hard work and dedication.”

Goldfarb, Barnes-Jewish collaborate on new nurse education model

September marked a “new beginning” in nurse education at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. 

The traditional model of nursing education at Barnes-Jewish has featured an instructor from Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing leading a group of eight students through a semester of clinical learning on a nursing unit. The Dedicated Education Units (DEU) will facilitate skills development for students and provide the opportunity for a team of nurses to prepare the next generation of nurses.
