Honoring Our Colleague and Friend, Carlos Pardo

On September 21, 2022, we lost a beloved colleague and friend, Carlos Pardo, our director of IT. Carlos’s kindness, support and willingness to help is well known throughout the Goldfarb School of Nursing and BJC HealthCare.
He was a quiet, dedicated leader who intuitively understood the power of support for our students, college and community. Carlos exemplified the meaning of "service." As a student-centered and team-oriented leader, Carlos would do all he could to help students, faculty, and staff with technology to reduce barriers to learning and productivity.
In this spirit, we honor Carlos by continuing a cause he championed—providing loaner laptops and devices to help support our students.
Through the Carlos Pardo Technology Fund, the College will provide students in need with immediate access to laptops to use as a temporary resource when personal technology fails. Through this program, Carlos desired to help mitigate stress so that students could continue to meet their academic requirements.
The Carlos Pardo Technology Fund is a tangible way to honor Carlos's legacy while supporting our students in need. To contribute or learn more about the fund, please click on the following link: Technology Fund Support
