Dr. Jean Davis joined Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in February, 2014 after completing work at Wayne State University as associate dean for academic and clinical affairs. Shortly after her arrival to Goldfarb, Dr. Davis was insulated as the Paul J. McKee Jr. Senior Associate Dean for Research.
Dr. Davis leads the nursing research program at Goldfarb with a emphasises on collaboration to promote a scientific link between academics and clinical practice. In addition, she leads the doctoral studies programs at Goldfarb.
Throughout her expansive career, Dr. Davis has served many academic appointments at Wayne State University, University of Florida College of Nursing in Gainesville, Fla., University of Arizona, University of California-Los Angeles, University of California-Davis and University of California-San Diego. She is a Robert Wood Johnson Faculty Scholars mentor, has served on National Institute of Health Scientific Review panels and has received federal funding for her research program and training grants, along with other honors and awards.
