OVERVIEW:Barbara brings over 20 years of nursing and leadership experience along with pre-hospital experience in EMS as a paramedic for 13 years. After years in the emergency room she stepped into the role of Public Health Emergency Response and Preparedness for a local county health department collaborating Interprofessionally on a federal, state and local levels. Barbara is finishing her DNP in Leadership and participates in global nursing in Peru where she is working with a rural hospital on infection control and is also involved in a collaboration in Ethiopia. Barbara has worked with the Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education helping in the First-Year IPE Experience program and has participated with the Health Disparities Curriculum Team and currently sits on the Clinical Learning and Practice Transformation Team.
