In 2004, the Tau Iota chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) Honor Society of Nursing at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College was established.

With a membership of over 250 active nurses, and a mission to support the learning, knowledge and professional development of nurses commitment to making a difference in health worldwide, the chapter provides member benefits including:

  • Membership Emails and Newsletters: Learn about STTI updates and available resources.
  • Career Opportunities: Access personalized tools and resources to help navigate your career path and expand your nursing knowledge.
  • Events: Take part in local, national and international events to experience first-hand the impact nurses have on world health.
  • Getting Connected: Stay in touch with STTI members from across the globe. Meet nurses in your local chapter, learn what other chapter members are doing and how you can connect with each other. 
  • Networking: Have access to a professional networking platform.
  • Knowledgeable Resources: Obtain valuable resources for your profession and to help improve patient outcomes.
  • Development of Leadership: Develop your leadership skills to help advance your career.
  • Encourage Collaboration: Work with nurses across all chapters to strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession.

The Tau Iota chapter of STTI meets every third Thursday of the month, at 2 pm, at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College (4483 Duncan Ave, 63110).

This Chapter has incredible energy and committment to embracing Nursing, leadership and making a difference locally, regionally , nationally and internationally.

Some exciting programs are planned- thanks to the planning committee and leadership!

I am proud to be a member of Tau Iota.
