Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College is a part of the Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, where world-class health care, research and education take place every day.
The Washington University Medical Center campus is home to two nationally ranked teaching hospitals: Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. The campus is also home to two top educational institutions: Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
Our partnerships with these institutions offer our nursing students a rich, exciting environment where they can apply the skills they learn in the classroom and in the simulation labs:
- The majority of our Upper Division and Accelerated students conduct their clinical rotations at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
- Nurse Anesthesia students refine their skills in the operating rooms at Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children’s hospitals.
- Our Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program places students in the neurosurgical, cardiothoracic and surgical trauma units at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, learning side by side with critical care and acute care professionals from Washington University School of Medicine.
We also collaborate with our neighbor St. Louis College of Pharmacy through joint workshops and events, as well as shared resources including the bookstore, writing center and fitness center.
