Connie Koch named interim dean for Barnes-Jewish College
ST. LOUIS - Connie Koch, EdD, RN
, has been named interim dean for the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College, while the College conducts a national search to replace Michael Evans, PhD, RN, FAAN. Evans is leaving at the end of December to assume the role of Dean and Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing in Lubbock, Texas. The announcement came from Rich Liekweg, President of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Since 2007, Koch has served as the Jack Taylor Associate Dean for Academic Programs for Barnes-Jewish College, where she oversees all aspects of academic program development and implementation.
Over the past 30 years, Koch has held a number of positions within the nursing departments at Maryville University and the former Barnes College of Nursing at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has also served as an educational liaison officer and member of the professional practice office at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Koch holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Illinois Wesleyan University, and a master’s in nursing and doctorate in education from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
