Marcus Engel is a best-selling author and speaker whose messages inspire, impact and influence audiences. His powerful story includes overcoming adversity, committing to higher goals, honoring health care professionals and embracing the truly important aspects of life.
 
As a college freshman, Engel was blinded and nearly killed after being struck by a drunk driver in south St. Louis. Throughout two years of rehab, more than 300 hours of reconstructive facial surgery and adaptation through a multitude of life changes, he remained committed to his goal of recapturing life.
 
Engel’s books include: “The Other End of the Stethoscope: 33 Insights for Excellent Patient Care,” and “I’m Here: Compassionate Communication in Healthcare.”
 
Each one-hour session will take place at the Eric P. Newman Education Center (EPNEC), and will be available the following times:
