Dear Graduates and Friends:
On behalf of the Barnes-Jewish College Alumni Association, your personal connection to Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College, it is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you.
The aim of our newsletter is to promote the advancement, interests and welfare of Goldfarb School of Nursing by engaging all members of our alumni community through purposeful professional, educational and social opportunities.
The designated leadership group for the Alumni Association is our committed eleven-member Alumni Advisory Council. The Council is comprised of representatives from all of our legacy schools. Also, to ensure the connection with the current Goldfarb School of Nursing community, two enrolled student leaders and two faculty alumni are members of the Council.
Our Alumni Association has established a valued tradition of hosting two annual alumni events. In the spring we host reunions, bringing back our graduates to participate in the Commencement ceremony at Powell Hall. They return to the College for a lunch and a time to refresh their relationships with their fellow classmates. Our fall event is our Homecoming, designed to provide a variety of activities that engages all graduates, current students, faculty and staff. Distinguished Alumni are recognized and all attendees experience our appreciation for their significant contribution to our strong academic foundation.
We hope you will remain a prideful member of the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College legacy and take full advantage of the great events, activities and programs that are developed to build and maintain lifelong relationships with you…a valued member of our outstanding nursing community!
