RN to BSN

Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing RN to BSN Option for licensed, registered nurses interested in completing a bachelor’s degree.

The RN to BSN Option is a part-time, 18-month program conducted in a traditional classroom setting. Applicants must have completed 47 credit hours of prerequisite coursework at community colleges and other universities.

During the program, students will complete 33 credits in 10 courses encompassing theoretical concepts, informatics, health assessment, family assessment, basic statistics, research, community health, leadership, and population focused nursing care with an additional nursing elective. Students may transfer the required general education credit hours from community colleges and other universities.

Students are admitted every fall term. Each term consists of two sessions and each session is seven weeks in length. Classes are held on the main campus at Goldfarb School of Nursing. We also offer classes at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center campus in West St. Louis county.
